Our professional challenge as clinical Rheumatologists is to care for patients with Arthritis and various autoimmune diseases.
To achieve that aim, first and foremost, we must make a precise and accurate diagnosis. We then need to explain to the patient what kind of disease or condition they have. At the same time we need to be aware of what kind of patient has that diagnosed disease. Thereafter, we can offer the patient a choice of treatments, relying on evidence-based remedies matching the Standard-of-Care for their illness. That way, we can guide the patient into making the wisest treatment choice.
Since many Rheumatologic disorders diagnosed in this office are chronic in nature, we must always strive to help the patient take control of their illness, and thereby, better cope.
